Elle Hinnah has been passionate about art and creating things her entire life. It started out with sewing when she was just 4 years old. Her grandmother, who hand stitched elaborate Barbie Doll clothes, told her she could learn to sew when she could thread her own needle. Elle has never been one to think she is unable to do anything, so she accepted the challenge and relentlessly attempted to thread the needle until the task was accomplished.
Elle’s education and prior career background before delving into the art world is in business, with a BS in Business Administration and Human Resources from Columbia College. She wanted a career that would allow her to be home with any children she had, so she set her sights on bring an artistic entrepreneur. The jewelry making techniques Elle has mastered have been self-taught from reading for online videos.
Elle currently works from a studio and office inner home while her toddler stays home with her. Her work has been described as whimsical with a dash of edge, and is inspired by nature. Her preferred materials are sterling silver, 18k gold, and a variety of uncommon semi-precious gemstones. She is a juried artist member of the Best of Missouri Hands, IndieMe, and The Artisan Group. She is also a product sponsor for the La Femme Film festival since 2016.
Aside from being a mom, an artist, & an entrepreneur; Elle enjoys spending her time outside gardening, hiking, or traveling in general. She lives in Glasgow, a small rural community located on the bluffs of the Missouri River, with her daughter, and their German Shepherd.
