Kyle Heikkila, who also goes by Bear Howl, is a visual artist from St Louis. While studying photography in art school, Kyle began to paint in his free time. He fell in love with the infinite possibilities that using painting and photography could benefit his vision. Thus, Kyle creates images that are unique and provocative to his viewers. A mixture of pop and street art has been his focus the past few years with an ever- evolving portfolio.
Kyle Heikkila has participated in numerous charity events in the St. Louis area, such as Wall Ball for ArtScope, PAWS St Louis Effort for Aids, a mural for Jennings Jr. High School, and various other programs. More recently he has done mural work for companies like KnowInk, a STL start-up company and the Monocle, 314 the City Bar and the Crack Fox.
His work has been featured in galleries all across the St. Louis area including The Randall Gallery, The Old Orchard Gallery, and a part of a group show at CAM. Along with his shows, the St. Louis Post Dispatch featured an article about him in 2019.
